How Fish Rarity Works in Titan Fishing

The 7-Tier Rarity System (SS to E)

Titan Fishing uses a 7-tier system (SS → S → A → B → C → D → E) instead of the standard Common/Rare/Legendary labels you find in other Roblox games. SS is the rarest — these are boss encounters and mutant variants that require specific conditions or a full-server event to trigger. E-tier fish are the starting commons you catch with the default rod on Island 1.

Named Fish vs. Numbered Fish

The numbered fish (Fish #1 through Fish #55) are species that haven't been officially named in the game yet. Their tier placement determines rarity and sell value — Fish #52–55 are A-tier Legendary, while Fish #1–3 are E-tier Common. Named fish (Alligator Gar, Jellyfish Dragon, etc.) are exclusively SS and S tier, meaning they are the most rewarding to hunt once you can reliably access the right zones.

See the Titan Fishing beginner guide for zone progression tips, or the Skill Books guide to understand how skills interact with catch rates.

SS-Tier Boss Fish: How to Find Them

SS-tier fish are the rarest encounters in Titan Fishing. Most spawn under specific conditions and cannot be reliably farmed the same way lower-tier fish can.

Ice Boss

Spawns every 30 minutes in a random zone around Islands 1–5. Server-wide event — only one player can catch it. Drops Mythical Skill Books, Gems, Money, and Bait.

Jellyfish Dragon

One of the top SS-tier targets. Requires high Luck rod and premium Bait. Found in deep-water zones — exact location is zone-dependent and changes per server.

Mutant Jellyfish Dragon

Mutant variant of the Jellyfish Dragon. Even rarer than the base form. High sell value and a standout addition to any fish index.

Grass Carp King

An oversized variant of the standard grass carp family. SS tier — significantly harder to catch and more rewarding than the S-tier carp species.

Best Rod & Bait Combos for Each Fish Tier

Rod selection determines what fish you can realistically catch — using the wrong loadout in a high-tier zone wastes bait and run time without results.
